Today I wandered around in a forrest that was part of the landscape formed by the Wall. It was not quite intended, but I bumped into various remains of the past. The path I followed was a former patrol road of the border troops. The road was fenced off by barbed wire, which was attached to the trees. One can still see the scars. My tour ended at a GDR watch tower, the only survivor of the GDR control point not far from the American Checkpoint Bravo in Dreilinden.
